The Deepsea’s robust case incorporates Rolex’s Ringlock System, developed to withstand the extreme pressures encountered at depth. A thick, domed sapphire crystal and titanium alloy caseback form part of this specialized construction, while an automatic helium escape valve reflects the model’s professional saturation-diving heritage.

The black Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert features a graduated 60-minute scale. Its unidirectional rotation allows elapsed time to be tracked, while the ceramic construction offers excellent resistance to scratching and fading.

Luminous hands and hour markers provide clear legibility, complemented by a date display at 3 o’clock. The absence of a Cyclops magnifier gives the crystal a clean, uninterrupted appearance.
